ESMERALDE
went into construction in mid-February, 2005.
The gel
coat, which is Smoke White, was sprayed around February
15,
and the glass work and Divinycell core were laid up in
the following week. She was popped from the mould
on February 22, and went into the "alignment" (interior) stage the
following day. On March 30 she entered the
"Decking" stage. On Friday April 15 she
entered, the Keel, or final completion, stage.
It was incredible to watch the progress! The Sabre crews
truck right along. Thanks to e-mail photographs
from trusty Amanda and a few road trips to Maine, we
were able to watch the process unfold before our eyes.
Now
it's your turn to enjoy the construction process.
Check out the progress of the boat in its successive
stages of completion,.
