Deck
Construction

After the
hull was well along in the Alignment stage, the glass
crew got to work on the deck and deck liner. Here
are a few images of that whole process.
This image
of the deck mold was taken on March 8, 2005, as it was
being prepped for gel coat and glass.

Above,
on March 18 when we were at Sabre for a visit, the deck
is already out of the mould. Joe Dudley
grinds away the rough edges of the fiberglass on the deck
before it gets flipped over. We still don't know
what sort of message was intended by the smiley face on
the bow, but it will be there forever!
After
the rough edges have been ground off, the deck gets
suspended from chains and flipped up-right. This
was done later in the afternoon on March 18.
